I use a 23 and a 17 Apple displays. Typically I edit with effects, viewer, canvas on top and timeline on bottom of the 23, and bins on the 17. Since updating, I can’t get FCP to launch with this layout. Nor can I get the layout to be recalled this way when it has been stored as a preset. All my bins stack up in the browser in tabs on top of my effects.

I seemed to figure out a way around this tendency in 4.5, but cannot remember it. Can anyone lend a hand?

    Thanks,
    ~g

You may want to change the screen resolution so that the Dual Display options will show up in the Window>Arrange menu.

They are there, I just don’t like them. I want my bins separate from my effects browser. I know there’s a way to make it stick in 4.5, anyone out there got any ideas?
