Win7 – CS6 inability to export H.264 /DNxHD – Update
Well, the problem is back. I spent 3 hours in a Connect session with Eric at ADK troubleshooting every possible angle to figure out why the Media Core dies as soon as the file tries to write to disk (both empty internals and 16TB raid).
Even went so far as to use HP restore to wipe the disk, reinstall Win 7, CS6 and QT for windows. Tested it before any 3rd party software was added (plugins or hardware). Same problem.
Im now 4 hours into running Memtest to see if bad memory is an issue.So far no errors.

what happens if you open a QT and then export via QT to h264, bypassing Adobe all together?

Thanks, Alex. Tom has indicated on the Adobe forums that it is, indeed, a system/OS problem, not an Adobe one.

Alex, the problem only affects the writing phase of exporting QT files (H.264 and DNxHD are what I needed to export when I bumped into this mess).
It even affects MPEG Streamclip so it appears to be related to HP / Win 7 issues.
