    Will Vegas Pro 5 capture HDV?

    I have V8 on two PCs so I used V5 on a laptop…will it capture HDV (XHA1) via firewire?

    If I remember correctly, the first version of Vegas to support HDV capture was version 6. You could edit HDV in Vegas 5 but you needed to buy Cineform ConnectHD to capture because Vegas 5 didn’t have an HDV capture utility. (but you’re really testing my memory with this one) 😉

    Lots of people use HDVSplit with very good results. I had forgotten about it because I use Cineform NeoScene and have no need for it but HDVSplit is definitely something you should check out.
