Will there ever be a DVX with 16×9 ccds?

A poster at dvxuser said he heard it was coming. There are threads over there asking why not, and Jan and Barry are both noticeably absent from them. If it was a definite – NO; why not squelch the rumors?

Some, myself included, thought that without 16×9 ccd’s included in the last upgrade that the DVX100B was obsolete on arrival.

The “experts” said there would be a LOOONG wait before Canon released a XL HDV cam and there’d be a GL HDV cam before that – they were wrong on both accounts.
