will not reconnect media
hello-
i am doing some editing on a previously edited project. i have the original fcp project file and transferred all the media to my media drive. all is well, then it comes time to reconnect the media and this is what happens:
the reconnect media window comes up, i select search or locate in the “files to connect” window then it locates it on my drive by showing the file in the finder. next i hit open and the finder window closes. it appears to be all good except in ‘files located” nothing appears & the media doesn’t reconnect.
i’ve trashed my preferences, i’ve repaired permissions… what am i missing????
and of course, i’m on deadline.
system being used: 2.4 ghz intel MBP 15″w/4gigs ram, aja iohd, g-raid g-sata

Solved…
after much gnashing of teeth, it turns out the original project was edited with an academic version and it appears it doesn’t translate to 6.0.4. at least that’s the only explanation we could find.
