  Will more memory help!

  I have an early (2007) Mac Pro 8-core system running 10.6 and FCPS3.
  I have 6 gigs of ram. I’m wondering if upgradion to say, 12 gigs will make a significant difference in final cut and after effects (Mac version) applications. I often hear that many of these applications can’t even address more memory. What thinks the Cow?
