  • Will HPX-170 output SD-SDI?

Posted by Craig Bernstein on June 6, 2009 at 12:47 am

I need to hook an HPX-170 up to an SD-SDI only piece of gear (Newtek Tricaster Broadcast).

Does anyone happen to know if the BNC [SDI] OUTPUT on the HPX-170 is switchable between HD-SDI and SD-SDI?

    Thanks in advance.

It will automatically detect it. You do have to make sure that the setting is set for SDI out.

    AV IN/OUT Setup: SDI=On

And there is a menu item where you have to choose 480i as your output if you are looking to do a downconvert and send to a SD monitor.

    Best,
