May 18, 2007 at 5:54 pmSince the sales person at the Apple store told me that the smaller Macbook would run FCS, I had bought one, but following some difficulty and the feedback I subsequently received here, I am returning it. May get a Macbook Pro or just save $ and stay on my G5… But will FCS2 run on the dual 1.8 G5 with 1 GB of ram?

P.S. Uh oh, that’s a new topic, isn’t it?

Do you need a laptop?
FCS runs swimmingly on my MBP.

May 19, 2007 at 9:11 pmOkay, I just warm the thread….
I’ve a MacBook (non-pro) and FCP5 and the whole Studio1 functions very well. Even Motion is able to do some easy things. (And they render, but slow)So, whats up with FCP6 – does it run on my 2GHz CoreDuo with 2GB RAM? PLease don’t tell me the screen is small and its not recommed, I won’t do much on that machine. My idea is to capture, rough cut the things and give them to a higher-rated Power/Mac/pro. Or vise-versa to copy a whole project (fully rendered) and take it with me for client-presentation.
Has anyone testet the abilitys of a MacBook non-pro?
