will AE 6.5 run on Apple’s Powerbook G4
I’m considering buying an Apple Powerbook G4 to run After Effects. The AE 6.5 specs. say a Power PC is required but G5 is recommened. Anyone trying to run AE 6.5 on Apple’s Powerbook G4? Should I not be buying this Powerbook? Any advice? Thanks

sure it works …. i made some jobs for television on my 867 Mhz 12′ powerbook, while waiting for my new G5 dual to be delivered …. no problem at all … just slower than my dual G5 !

I have the 17-inch G4 1.67Ghz laptop with 1GB of RAM and AE 6.5 runs great. In fact, I’ve taken whole projects from capturing and editing in FCP 5 through graphics in AE 6.5 and final output on DVD in DVDSP 4 all while sitting in a coffee shop down the street from my apartment…it’s a dream come true…my desktop system is getting a little lonely though…
