Question for anyone who was able to see Premiere Pro CS7 at NAB 2013:

Will Premiere Pro CS7 allow you to set your own keyboard shortcuts?

Unfortunately, After Effects CS6 seems to have very few keyboard shortcuts and unlike Premiere Pro, it has no dedicated keyboard shortcuts menu that would allow you customize anything.

It would be great to have this option in the next version of After Effects.

Yes, Premiere Pro has the ability to customize shortcuts.

There has been no change in the ability to modify keyboard shortcuts in After Effects. Here’s a list of all changes in the next version, and there is nothing there about keyboard shortcut modification:

You can modify a text file to change keyboard shortcuts in After Effects. You click the Reveal In Finder/Explorer button in the General category in the Preferences dialog box to expose the keyboard shortcuts text file.
