Will a SATA drive raid work with 8.2?
My old faithfull Medea 4/120 raid 0 SCSI box just gave up the ghost. The little blue lights quit chasing one another and I think one or more drives may be dead. I wondered if anyone here has had success with a SATA raid. I looked at the prices of the card, the external box, cables, with bundled striping software and it appears that I can get about 640 gig video storage unit for about $400. Has anybody tried this?
