i have a question about widgets. i just had to clean install my system. i did a complete backup with carbon copy cloner. my question isn’t about how to get the widgets i have installed back…i know where those are, but on some of the widgets i use (stickies) i have information ON those widgets that i want back and should be on my backup. i just don’t know where to go to get that information.

does anyone know where info that’s ON a widget is stored?

    thanks

Copy the Widget preference files off of the backup to your new system. They are named something like this: widget-com.apple.widget.stickies.plist and are found in your Home > Library > Preferences folder. They will replace anything you’ve added (notes, etc) on your new system. You can’t merge them.
