  Widescreen not wide enough on my tv

  Hi, I am a new user of Vegas Platinum 8.

  I am seeing my dvd as widescreen ( black bars ) , but not quite the
  width I see on my Vegas preview windows. A little bit is cropped on the sides.

  I have a Canon Elura 80 camcorder, which has true 16:9, per the
  manual.

  I recorded on camcorder, edited with Vegas & burned to dvd using
  dvd architect. My Vegas properties are Template Custom ( 720 x 480 ), Pixel Aspect Ratio = 1.2121. Render as MainConcept Mpeg 2.
  DVD Architect props = Video format: NTSC widescreen.

  My dvd widescreen dimensions are fine on my new notebook pc.
  On my 15 year old RCA 4:3 tv & my 3 year old Sharp 27′ 4:3 tv, I get
  some widescreen with black bars on top & bottom. On my tvs, I get a 1.6 ratio, instead of 1.77 ratio (16:9 ).

  I would like to get the 1.77 ratio on my tvs if possible.
