I applied a video filter / matte / widescreen to my entire timeline. Can I remove it?

Also, if I use this filter as a cheap way to make a 4:3 project look letterbox, will I have any problems when I go to make a DVD?

Option double click on the nested sequence and in the filters tab delete the filter.

Not if you make a basic 4:3 DVD. Your program will have a letterbox on it.

    All the best,

    Tom

if you didn’t nest before applying the filter to the whole timeline then you will need to open each clip independently and remove the filter …

unless you have no other filters applied, in which case you can select all, then choose Edit > Remove Attributes… and in the following window uncheck all boxes except “Filters” and click OK (you might want to make a duplicate of your timeline before such a drastic action tho)
