“Widescreen” Filter w/”Offset” Creates Blurred Video
Coming from the relatively simplistic world of Media 100, I am continually amazed at how many ways there are to trip-up oneself with Final Cut Pro. Some days I dispair that I’ll never understand this program.
I’ve captured DV Cam footage via firewire. Edited a sequence and applied the “Widescreen” filter to each of the shots in the sequence. One of the shots needed to be repositioned because the “Widescreen” effect did not leave enough headroom. I repositioned said scene using the “Offset” slider in the “Widescreen” filter control panel. The repositioned scene goes slightly out of focus. Rendering the sequence does not improve the focus. I don’t find reference to the picture going out of focus in the manual. What am I doing wrong?
