    Hi,
The final avi file of my movie has a green flickering line at the bottom of the screen. It was shot with a sony HD camera, captured in HDV mode, imported in HD anamorphic(1.333)mode and exported using widescreen (D1DVPal 16:9) setting.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Fiona

    A little more detailed information….

I have successfully edited and exported my movie – my problem is with the playback of the .avi file – when I play it in the media viewer on my computer (pc) it has a green line across the bottom, throughout the whole video, about 1mm wide (like it is filling in the height of the file maybe?)

My problem seems to be something to do with the widescreen format (pixel aspect ratio maybe?)
If I export the movie as D1/DV PAL widescreen 16:9 the final file played in the media viewer has a green line at the bottom (like it is filling in the height of the file maybe?)
But if I export the movie as HD Anamorphic 1080 its appearance is like the 4:3 aspect ratio (and no green fill).

    – The original video was shot with a Sony HD camera in widescreen mode.
    – Captured in Premier Pro CS4 in HDV format
    – Imported into Premier with HD Anamorphic 1080(1.333) as my pixel aspect ratio.
    – the timeline and all files used are 1440×1080(1.333)
    – exported with pixel aspect ratio setting as D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16:9 (1.422)

I have trawled your forum looking for similar problems- tried changing the interpret footage option, combined with the various export options, but to no avail. The only way the movie will replay without the green fill is when exported using the HD Anamorphic 1080 setting.

I would love to know where I have gone wrong!

I am not sure if this is entirely accurate as I usually work with 720, but try exporting with the dimensions; 1920 x 1080. Also make sure that your pixel aspect ratio is set to square.

    Thanks William,
I discovered that I had to export the movie with a pixel aspect ratio setting of D1/DV PAL(1.067) rather than as widescreen. The movie appears in a widescreen format with this setting. Not really sure of the reasons behind this… but it works!
    Cheers,
    Fiona
