Widescreen 2.39:1 (1280×544) in Adobe Encore?
Hello,
my movie is in HD 1920 x 1080 with „fake letterboxes“ and I have made the frame suitable. I would like to transform my movie into a „real“ 2.39:1 size (1280×544 without letterboxes) – so that you can watch the movie in widescreen on short film festivals.
With the VLC player and my 21:9 TFT this is no problem (see the picture).
But how it is possible to create a real widescreen with Adobe Encore? My footage is rendered by 1280×544 out from After Effects. I know, it’s a fake. But is it possible to do so? I have no cinema at home, so I can’t test it.

what would you expect?Encore can create BDs or DVDs which are made in 16:9 or 4:3 – so you´re lost with your aspec-ratio. you should prepare your assets in 1920×1080, 720×576 (PAL) or 720×480 (NTSC) anamorph.

My movie is in PAL/25 fps and I have transcoded the Blu Ray project in H264 (Adobe Encore), what will happen in NTSC regions? Is the Blu Ray Player in the USA able to play PAL movies or what else can I do?

the simple answer is NO – it wont run in US-based players.25fps is MANDATORY only for PAL-lands…., which mean: europe, australia, and in some countries of africa.
so, if you need to create a internatioal BD, you should do it 23.976, 24fps or you need to create a 29.98fps-disc, which is a big mess.
