May 25, 2006 at 4:43 amIs that due to the adapter not being able to fit with the hood on. Or is it because the video that you capture you will be able to see the lens hood in the shot?

May 25, 2006 at 5:24 pmI did see the Red Eye at NAB and my friend bought one right on the spot for his DVX100. I didn’t have the HVX200 until after NAB so I didn’t ask many questions. Some things I think are priced just crazy today. I can by the nice ground glass adapter for $350 (Century Optics) and then end up buying a second plastic hood for $1000. Plastic hoods should be around $35.
I’ll call the red eye people and see if I will end up filming the inside of the hood.
Thanks for the info.

May 25, 2006 at 9:21 pmI called the RED EYE lens adapter people and they said that the RED EYE will fit the HVX and you can use the Hood that comes with the camera without seeing the hood through the camera.
