    Hey guys,

Could do with some help. I have a reliable G4 with OS 10.3.8. I have the the same set up in work. I have After effects 6 and also after effects 6.5. The two programmes installed perfectly on my work G4 but when I went to install them on my home computer they seem to go through the installation perfectly cos it come up sayin ‘Installation was successfuly, click quit to continue’. So one would right to think that it will work perfectly but when I click on it to open, however, the After Effetcs icon (on both 6 and 6.5) bounces up and down for a few seconds in the dock, dissapears and then nothing happens. I tried again, still happens.

So i though it might be that theyre conflicting so I uninstalled them (including AF5.5) and did them seperately but alas, still no good. I just recieved an after effects tutorial in the post so im really anxious to get it working at home.

I have also updated to 10.9. repaired permissions, turned off all non system fonts, checked the date and time and still no luck.

Can any 1 please please offer some suggest as to why this is happening and what I might do to overcome it.

    cheers

Does AE work with just one version on your box? If so, which version?

No, none of them work. AE 5.5 comes the closest. it gets as far as the AE loading imagery but then crashes before any windows pop up and askes me if I want to send an ‘error report’. This happens when theyre arent any other AE version on the comp and also happens whn there are. 6 and 6.5 just bounce in the dock 2/3 times then dissappears and noting happens, no error reports or anything.

    cheers
