  • Why was audio was fine in Premiere 6 but glitchy in Premiere Pro?!

Posted by Sophie Watson on October 28, 2005 at 10:48 am

An audio file that sounded totally fine when played in Premier 6 has at least one chronic glitch in it when played or exported from Premier Pro.

At first i thought it was just a problem with the movie i imported but then i checked back on my older version of Premier 6 and it sounds perfect on there.

Has anyone else experienced this or similar problem?

    Any advice very gratefully received.

(i need to export the movie from Premier Pro as I want to use the H.264 codec to make a small file for streaming and this codec doesn’t seem to work on Premier 6.)

Can you describe the “Glitch”? Stutter, distortion, change of frequency response?

1st off, thank you for you response.

The sound is crackle, sparkly, or over-gained (seems exported too loud). But only on Pemeire Pro not Premiere 6 or 6.5.

I hope there’s an easy fix. If I have to do an extra step, I need to tell my clients it’ll take longer because of this.

    Thank you
    Augie
