It may be an FW related issue.
AJA has released FCPX drivers for the KONAs and the io-Express, but not for the ioHD, which is FW based.

What I wonder is why AJA still selling (3.5K) the “ioHD” when the device is designed to work only with an application that is already EOL (FC).

I think they just used the Men In Black memory eraser on that one….

I remember years ago, they announced the Kona 2 would have its own built in codec for offline, called QRes, but then it never happened….Apple eventually introduced ProRes and few people cared….

I think those two things are somehow secretly related? Too much of a coincidence, there.

FW800 as a native connection, is pretty much dead on all computers. I could see why, as a company, you wouldn’t want to sell a dead connection.

Control Room would be nice.
