Why movie ends with first frame?
Okay, I’m stumped.
I’ve made two seemingly identical movies in Vegas (Movie Studio Platinum 6.0)…yet one movie ends with a black screeen, the other returns to a still shot of the first frame. Is there anyway to control this behavior?thanks

More details would be useful. However, here’s something that will occur if you stretch a clip longer than the clip actually is: Once the clip is longer on than timeline than it really is, it will repeat (as many times as necessary to fill the length on the timeline). Unless your ending clip is the same as the beginning clip and it’s looped, I really doubt this is the cause, though.
Whatever you see on the timeline is what you’ll get. So if you’re seeing the first frame at the end on the final output, it has to be there on the timeline as well. Zoom in on the timeline and see what’s really there.

I’ve looked over and over again at my two video timelines, and I can’t see anything that would make them behave differently. Both are a simple collection of 4-5 media clips with a tiff image at the start.However, after I create the avi files (make movie), video #1 ends with a black screen while video #2 ends by showing a freeze frame of the tiff image that’s located at the start. In Vegas, both video timelines are the same — they both end at the end of the last video clip.

Okay, maybe I can put them up somewhere.
I’m not sure if this is related to my particular problem, but I can’t really find any tools or menu options that allow me to put an “end of movie” mark on the timeline. For example, I know how to control the length of individual clips in the timeline, but I’m wondering if I also need to tell Vegas where I want to end the entire movie. When I do a preview, the cursor seems to continue running beyond the last clip, at least for a couple seconds or so, and then jumps back to the start.
This puzzles me a bit, because with video #1, the cursor runs about two seconds beyond the last clip, and with video #2, the cursor runs about five seconds beyond the last clip. This inconsistency makes me think something isn’t set up right.
