I keep my tracks / timeline on top, preview pane, audio, media, etc on bottom ( original view ).
Something is going on when I left click on the top track ( to place cursor )… all the sudden it goes haywire…
HUGE windows.. audio meters on top , a big preview pane .. and timeline at the bottom… All in Thirds.

it keeps happening and I’m starting to loose patience here… ☺

Is it vegas or something going with my Logitech wireless trackball. Dell M6500 laptop Vegas 12 Pro Build 770 64bit.

    Hi Wayne,

I flipped my timeline to the top and used it that way for a while and didn’t have any issues. I’m working on a desktop with an optical mouse, so maybe your theory is correct and perhaps reinstalling the driver or updating the driver will straighten things out. Also you could do a Vegas full reset and see if that helps. Hold down the ‘Ctrl+Shift’ keys while double left clicking on the Vegas Pro desktop icon. Check the box ‘Delete all cached application data’, then left click on ‘Yes’.

    Best Regards……George

Hi George, I think you’re right. It must have been a hardware issue, probably with the trackball. Heavens only knows how many miles I’ve put on that thing. I grabbed another one, linked it up and we’re back in business. I just thought I’d throw it out there in case I was inadvertently triggering something on the mouse. I appreciate your prompt reply.

    All the best,
    Wayne
