Why is the animation movement “running upward”?
Hello,
First, sorry about the highly non-scientific term. I have uploaded a 5 second preview of what my prollem is. A rectangular image is moving across the screen from left to right. As you can see, I guess they call it the tearing effect, is very severe.
You can see it on youtube here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCCaf7vsPMcThe problem with watching it in youtube is that it doesn’t allow you to loop it. So I provided a download option to a 640k ZIP file of the movie (QT/H.264) from rapidshare (sorry don’t have my own website).
https://rapidshare.com/files/252513087/Comp3.zipIf you watch the dowloadable version and enable looping in QT, you can see that the image has this “running” effect that seem to be going from bottom to top. Also, if you loop it and watch it one after another (which you can’t do on youtube, hence you can’t see the problem well), this running is random. It doesn’t happen at the same location all the time. Sometimes it’s in the beginning, sometimes at the and, sometimes in the middle. Anyhow, I’m not sure how to get rid of this.
Currently the uploaded (and downloadable video) is 29.97fps and MOTION BLUR applied to the movement. As you can see, that doesn’t help at all.
I’ve also tried changing the Shutter Angle/Phase in the Comp Setting window. That didn’t help either.
I’ve tried to output the segment at 24 and 60fps as well (since it will be only for LCD monitor playback. The 60fps output obviously produced a much smoother motion, but this bottom to top “running” was still there – except maybe not so severely as in the 29.97fps version.
What should I do to get rid of this “running” thing?
Thanks a lot!
