Why is it 9.0e?
I’m just curious:
Why is it Vegas Pro 9.0a, 9.0b, 9.0c, etcetera,
instead of 9.0, 9.1, 9.2,
or 9a, 9b, 9c,
etcetera?Is there a good reason? Or, not so much?

I have no idea but I’m leaning towards “…not so much”. I guess it was inherited from the Sonic Foundry days but I know of no other software developer who uses letters like that and when we built Production Assistant for them, we couldn’t follow that because no development tools support that numbering scheme so PA has numbers like 1.0.16. Every other software house uses major.minor.build numbers except SCS.
