Activity Forums Adobe After Effects why is AE rendering with RAM – and what can i do when AE stops rendering because of RAM capacity overload?

    Hey there, i got exactly the same problem:

    I render and after 10-20 seconds of time-ramped DV-footage AE says the following and the normal render queue looks like this:

    Settings are standard, RAM is 2 GB. Reason is, RAM is full, but i do NOT understand why it doesnt write it on disk.

    Even Disk Cache is enabled and so on.

    Solution: (found in another topic here not adressing this question)

    Press SHIFT while entering Preferences, go down to “secret”, enable purging every X frames (depending on your comps and ram) and – smile!
