    Hi,
I am creating a video where I’m mixing video clips and still photos. Some of the photos are not the exact same size as the video clips (which is usually the case). These photos are landscape oriented.

When Premiere Pro pulls them into the media browser, and then as they’re placed onto the timeline – Premiere rotated the photo(s). The photos were portrait originally, but it (Premiere Pro) rotated them to make them landscape. It does not do this with all of the portrait oriented photos, just some.

If I open the same photos in Photoshop – you clearly see they’re portrait.

Any thoughts as to why the rotation?

    Thanks!!

Resave the still in PS and try again.

[Alex Kerezy] “Any thoughts as to why the rotation?”

They might have the landscape/portrait info only as some metadata flag that Premiere can’t read.

It’s Just as Tero Ahlfors said. you can manually scale and rotate as needed from the effects tab on Premiere Pro.
A quicker way is to fix one then right click select the fixed clip on the sequence copy, go to the other pictures that need fixing and then select paste attributes. it will copy the rotation/scale attributes of the copied picture.
