[Warren Richards] “So does this mean that if I click on track motion and move the box to reposition something, any other event within that track will be affected?”

Yes, from the change you make on the Timeline onwards throughout. Plus Any Events prior to this change, will be affected but you can confine the change by using a HOLD KF.

[Warren Richards] “Why is it that when I now click on the track motion in track 2, moving the box has no effect on screen position?”

Make sure you’ve selected the Position Track in the Track Motion Timeline. Sounds like you haven’t selected it correctly.

[Warren Richards] “What should I have done in this instance? Should I paste the main video into a different track than that of the photo, so that the video’s position isn’t effected by the photo’s position?”

Well, this is your call. What is it you want? From what you’ve said it might be wise to have your Photos on Track1 and your Video on Track2. You can combine Photos and Video on the same Track, and use TM, but it does require a lot of manipulation by you. There aren’t any “rules” about this, it really does depend on how much extra work you want to do. I leave Photos on the same track if they are full frame and I just want to fade from one to the other and then get back to the video. But really, it’s your call.

[Warren Richards] “Sorry for all of the questions, and thank you for you patience.”

No need for the apology. As long as you are now finding your feet with this stuff it is reward enough. Look, I have had much ££-over using Vegas for this type of work and I’m always astounded just how creative one can get and register the satisfaction of the client!

    Cheers
