  • Why Doesn’t shuttle work?

Posted by Darren Kelly on December 22, 2011 at 8:32 pm

I have a windows 7-64 bit system with a onboard USB 3 controller. No it is not a renesas card.

I can’t get anything to output to a 1080p projector, or monitor.

Are you telling me, I have to buy a separate card that has the hard to find Renesas chip set to make this work?

I’m frustrated. Grant if this is the best you can do, pull the product off the market until the GD thing works with the latest machines. My Motherboard is brand new.

    Just incase I get asked:

AMD Phenom II processor – 6 core @2.7ghz.
    Gigabyte 990FXa-UD3 motherboard
    16GB of 1600 RAM
    GTX 570 Nvidia card.
My drives are rated to do over 240mbs read and write.

    Windows 7-home premium 64 bit

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    DBK

BM is very specific on the motherboard chipsets it’ll work with. It has to have an X58 or P55 chipset or your out of luck.I use the Asus P6X58-E Pro at work and home and both shuttles work fine. It already has the right USB3 adapter onboard.

in fact, I have two systems, one based on hm65 (intel) and one on 880g (AMD) and both of them work with shuttle, but both of them have NEC / Renesas usb3

    I just bought https://canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=48_19_903&item_id=040621

    It has the nec chipset.

I am assuming this will work?

    Please?

I installed the card above. Installed the correct drivers for it – they are the NEC drivers, moved the card around, gave it power, took the power away, danced on my head – nothing.

Sometimes it says the decklink is there, other times, it does not.

I know some people are having some success with the card, but from my perspective it has been a giant waste of time and energy.

If anyone wants to buy it, let me know

Grant, I am disappointed in the implementation of this product.

Now, what do I use to monitor?
