i am digitizing regular dv footage from a consumer ntsc camera through firewire to fcp 5.1. my capture settings are set to basic dv ntsc, which is what the source footage is. when i add clips to the sequence, they show up red(to render). Is this in my sequence settings? any ideas? need more info? appreciate any help….

Go FILE>EASY SETUPS. Choose DV/NTSC. TRASH SEQUENCE 1. Create a new sequence and start putting your footage into that.
