  Why does my video have a “choppy” playback when uploaded on YouTube?

  Hello there,

  I’ve recently finished working on a travel short-film based on a trip I made with my friends, I filmed the entire trip with a Canon EOS 600D and a Nikon D90.

  Frame rates with the Canon 600D were:

  Mostly 23.976 (1920x1080p) and few footage at 59.967 (1280x720p)for slow motion purposes.

  Frame rate with Nikon D90 was:

  All 24p (1280x720p)

  Please Note:

  All the clips were imported on a 720p / 23.976 fps Timeline and before I started editing I interpreted all the clips form both of the DSLRs into 23.976 fps.

  The Canon footage were interpreted successfully but Nikon D90 footage showed that they were interpreted to 23.76 instead of 23.976.

  I manually re-sized all the 1920×1080 clips to match the 720p clips.
  Edited in premiere pro CS 5.5 then stabilized,twixtored (59.976 clips) and color graded them on AE CS 5.5 using adobe Dynamic Link.

  Fully rendered from Premeire Pro and exported with the settings:

  Video-

  H.264
  Frame rate- 23.976
  Profile- high
  Level- 3.1
  Progressive
  Target and Maximum bit rates both @ 8Mbps
  Key Frame distance: 72 (3 times of 23.976)
  VRB 2 pass

  Audio-

  AAC
  320Kbps bit rate
  etc.

  Frame Blending enabled and exported from within Premiere Pro

  Now when I uploaded the exported file (449 MB) on youtube, the playback looks a bit choppy to me.

  Can anyone please watch the video and confirm if it actually looks choppy or not?
