  • Why does my nested sequence need rendering?

Posted by Tangier Clarke on November 25, 2009 at 5:24 pm

Folks, I have a twelve sequences that are fully rendered and I am nesting them onto one timeline. The new timeline has the same settings as the other sequences. Why do my already rendered timelines require rerendering on the nested sequence? Is there any way around this. It would seem there’s some way to take already rendered sequences and line them up on one sequence without having to rerender.

The project is XDCAM EX 1080p24

IT shouldn’t do that to tell you the truth … I even just tried it to see what’s up.

DID you do a full render (Blue Lines on the top of your Timeline Window)???

Also make sure your sequence that holds all of your nested sequences matches the Settings of those nested sequences.

Silly me. I got it. I had some of my sequences set to Apple Pro Res for the render control after doing some reading about using XDCAM EX. The earlier sequences use the same codec as sequence.
