  • Why does “K” select my tracks?

One way of editing that I do alot is to put a long footage down on the timeline, start to move around with JKL. I enter an in and out point, and cut the boring part away. (backspace or ripple delete)

When moving around I usually end up pushing “k” at some time, to stop at a certain point in the timeline. This automatically selects the track in the timeline, so I must “deselect all tracks” before removing the part between In and Out point…. so I don’t remove the whole track.

I end up having to using the shortcut “deselect all tracks” alot, to make this workflow work.

Is there a brilliant smart idea to make “K” select tracks, that I have missed?

IT WAS A BUG!! (I think)

If I start a new project and import everything into that new project, everything works. If I work with the old project everything is back to the select hell again.

Good to know that Premiere is “not supposed to work this way”
