  • Why does a Motion 5 (1920×1080) effect get blurry in a SD FCPX project?

I’m almost ready with an effect I created in Motion 5. It is 2D and some layers had to be rasterized because of Blend Modes and/or Masks.
I added a custom snapshot for PAL SD Anamorphic aspect ratio. First I did not have a custom snapshot for SD but then I noticed that layers with a project size (1920×1080) were a few percent squeezed horizontally in a SD FCPX project. The snapshot corrected for this.
The strange thing is that an HD Motion 5 project looks very blurry in a SD project in FCPX. That same HD project looks perfect in both 1080 and 720 HD.
I can understand that Motion has to do scaling for SD, but it is only scaling DOWN.
Does anyone know why this happens? Is there some setting I have missed?
By the way, all my project and clip settings are Progressive, both in Motion and FCPX.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Kind regards,
