Why do my 1080p videos look like crap on youtube?
I have the most updated version of compressor, and I use the highest quality preset classified under “Video Sharing Services”.
Yet, my videos do NOT look sharp at all. Could this be a youtube data-rate playback issue? Here’s one of the videos:

If any of you guys have a system of compressor settings that you use specifically for youtube, I would absolutely love to hear what they are.

That video defaulted to SD, once I changed the playback to HD it looked a lot better. The logo in the corner looked fine. The only issue I could see where he crunchy edges around the presenter, which looked like it was due to your key, not compression.

Yea… I can fix the key, I guess just by softening the edges a little bit.
Why does it default back to SD? Is that something that I can fix by compressing correctly?

It’s something at the Youtube end, not a compression problem. Have at look through our Youtube settings to see if you can change the default. I know you can in Vimeo. I’d check, but I can’t sign into my Youtube account at work.
All of my Youtube videos are loading in SD by default too.
