Why do I need to re-render using Edit to Tape?

I can usually work through most problems on FCP but this has got me stumped big time.”

Then something is wrong with the way you have the system set up to edit to tape. Either the output setting is different than your Sequence Settings or something along those lines. If you have rendered everything, FCP does not render at all when you Edit to Tape.
