Why do i get an error when i switch from AE to AVID after installing the Avid AE EMP plugin?
i just installed the Avide After Effects External Monitor Preview plugin and when i close out of AE, an error comes up in Avid Xpress pro saying, “Problem detected with hardware. Unable to re-acquire it. QUIT or RETRY”
anyone know how to solve this?

I’ve seen this same error as well when switching to AE. My guess is that AE is attempting to use the DV output to create the video output, which upsets the Avid, which really doesn’t like to share anything.
I’ve had to close Avid, open AE do my comp, output and re-open Avid.Erik
