Why can’t I rename?
Has anyone else noticed problems with renaming in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4?
It’s really weird because some things will be nameable and some things for not.
For example, I click one time on the name of a sequence and the white box appears around the channel box but the word itself is not highlighted and the cursor icon does not appear so I cannot change the name. Right clicking and selecting “Rename” from the list also does nothing at all.
Then I repeat the exact same process on a different sequence or bin and the word highlights as it should and I get the cursor icon, enabling me to, in fact, change the name.
This is obviously a bug and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has any solutions. Needless to say, it’s getting pretty difficult to work with names such as “Bin 147” or “Sequence 1 Copy Copy Copy Copy Copy Copy”.

This is a known issue.
Widen the clip name column and you will be able to rename properly.

Solved it..!! Thanks *3 ..Just installed the update but the nuisance remains.

With a clip highlighted in the project panel you can open the rename by hitting return key.
