  • Why can’t I import a .mov file?

This question is actually on behalf of a friend who can’t seem to use .mov files on his timeline.

Strange thing is, his notebook is having the same problem.

Me on the other hand don’t have a problem opening up the same mov file that he is trying to use.

I’m using Vegas 6.0b and he’s using 6.0d .. Other than that, I can’t think of any reason why it’s not working for him on either of his 2 machines.

We’ve both installed the same versions of Quicktime and itunes.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Is all this working, meant to be as simple as installing the quicktime movie player?

though you both have QT that doesn’t mean you have the same features loaded into your computer .. use the QT updater feature – then use custom – make sure you choose authoring and whatever other items you think you’ll use …
