  • Why buy an Adrenaline?

I been trying to find reviews on the Adrenaline and haven’t found anything. So I thought I would ask users the question of why should I buy this system.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Depends on your needs.

DV Mag reviewed the inital 1.0 release of Adrenaline in 2003. Check https://www.dv.com and dig through the archives to find it. It was written by Frank Capria.

You need to go to your reseller and get a hands-on demo. Start here to find your nearest reseller: https://www.avid.com/forms/locator.asp Then, call them and arrange a demo. Make sure you get some “stick-time” test-driving the system. Before just committing to it, do some more research. Dig around Avid’s website. Browse the Avid User forums on Avid.com. Do a search for “Media Composer” “Adrenaline” “MCA” or “Media Composer Adrenaline” on this forum. There were many pissed-off users when Adrenaline first shipped, as it was riddled with bugs and limitations. At version 2.x, it’s gotten far better. It’s an incredible machine. I used to own one, but had to sell it when I closed up shop and moved. I miss it terribly and am strongly considering buying another one!

    Good luck.

If you don’t have the time to sit and wait for clips to render and need multiple video track playback in realtime then you really should go and get a demo. I think you’ll be impressed. You’ll need to justify the cost though!
