    Hey Admin guys,

I posted several messages yesterday, but only a few have appeared. My other posts which haven’t been posted are still sitting there (I can see them when I view the thread, but the replies count for those threads still says zero).

Were they overlooked? Is there a bug in the system?

    Here are two examples offhand:

Is there an easy way to view all posts which haven’t been posted? I’d hate to learn you guys think I’m “special” — but then again I wouldn’t want to know how many other users are affected too. 🙂

    Hello Dave,

To the first part of your post about not all posts showing up in topical view – this should be fixed now.

To the second part of your post about being able to see posts that are currently in moderation. I don’t believe this is a feature that we will be implementing as users are aware that posts are put into moderation once they post them and get a notice. We might consider sending email notifications once posts are approved but this is a new idea that we haven’t discussed yet. Maybe at the next board meeting of COWs we’ll bring this up =)

    Appreciate the feedback.

We took off for a few days to visit with members of the COW Team in Oregon. We just got back so the team has been short-handed for a few days but is now back at full strength.

We never guarantee to post every post. We are a professionals support site and there are some questions and answers that do not become a part of the site. Why? Because we began 15 years ago as a site dedicated to supporting peer-to-peer support for people working in broadcast, film, corporate, and other forms of video. We have elected to maintain that focus and so not every post that is made is going to show up (as some of them would erode the signal level of the site).

We also do not guarantee that posts will be approved within minutes. Most times, posts go up right away. But there are a few very rare times when due to circumstances such as our trip to Oregon, we may take longer.

I hope that this explains some of our policies and methods.

    Best regards,

    Ron Lindeboom

Thanks for the update. I just found it weird in one forum that about 1/2 my messages were posted within a few hours, then responses to those posts, and then my follow ups.

Yet, the other 1/2 of my original posts were still sitting in “limbo” land over 36 hours later.

So that’s why I asked what was going on. 🙂
