I want to export my 26 min film from fcp as a quicktime film (full quality) but when I export it to my external hd the file is being split in 3 fcp/quicktimefiles of about 2gb each. Why does this happen and what can i do about it? Is it possible to somehow connect the 3 files to 1 (big) quicktime file again?

    thanx bram

Because your hard drive is formated FAT32 and needs to reformated to MAC Extended using Apple Disk Utility. Copy any files you don’t want to erase to another drive before doing so…

You will need to move it to another hard drive.

Easiest way in FCP would probably be use the copy or move option in media manager
