    Hey there Guys,

I am having this problem with element 3D V2.2. basically I am trying to create a High Res Night Earth. I have a large texture, when I wrap it around a sphere in element it looks like this. Its very blurry and to much pixels showing up. No idea what I’m doing wrong.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. In actual the texture is something link this

If anyone has any information on how this can be fixed please do share.

    Cheers

    Ryan

Are you previewing in E3D with Draft texture?
Do you get the same with the best render settings when you preview at full resolution from the AE comp window?

    Thanks for your reply,

The draft textures are off, also if you check the screenshot below, this is how it looks in full res ?

Actually I just found the problem I think,

After messing around with a few settings I went to File > Preferences in the Element window. I saw the default Map Size was 2048 and I was using a larger map so I changed it to 8192, re loaded the texture and wow, it suddenly fixed the problem.

It looks sharp on the edges. My guess is that you’ve got depth of field turned on and the front of the globe isn’t in focus.
