why are my audio renders mono?
I’ve tried changing the audio quality and everything else I can think of… but each time I “render both” my stereo audio files (.aif, 44.1) get rendered as mono. Panning is set properly.
FCP 5.02, OSX 10.4.2, latest quicktime.
Most likely I’m doing something stupid… but I can’t figure it out.

Check this, just to make sure.

Final Cut Pro (menu) > User Preferences > Audio Outputs tab.“Normal” output would be “Default Stereo Preset”
with these steeings:Outputs: 2
Downmix (dB):0
