Why are imported images brighter?
I’m fairly new to FCP — only been using it since January at my new job editing commercials, so I apologize if this is a dumb question. I’m not sure if this is a setting or the default behavior, but whenever I add an image to the timeline it comes out much brighter than it was originally. Sometimes this isn’t too bad and I just let it slide, but a lot of the time they’re just way too bright. My co-worker, who got me the job, imports the photos into iMovie and exports to video as a workaround but I feel this method is blasphemy for many reasons. I would prefer not to mess with filters if possible, since much of the time these are photos that I already spent a good deal of time processing in Light Room.
EDIT: Perhaps I should mention this is Final Cut Pro 7.0.3
