    Hmmm, if it took 20 years to go from 10Mb Enet to 100 Mb, then 5 years from 100 Mb to 1 Gb, then 5 years from 1 Gb to 10 Gb, how many years from 10 Gb to 100 Gb?

    Look at the DEMAND for technology. If the money is there, the technology is promoted. I think the Token Ring war slowed the 10-100 Mb change. The adoption of Enet and that only a change from Cat5 to Cat5e made 100 Mb to 1 Gb easy. Now if 10 Gb can just be made with Cat5e or Cat6……..
