We just did some tests in Final Cut using footage shot with the Panasonic HVX-200. We’re working with 720P/24PN footage. We’ve noticed that when we use a cross dissolve as a transition, we sometimes end up with a “lost frame” of footage from one of the clips. What’s going on here? Has anyone else noticed this, and is there a way to fix it?

    Thanks

    Jason

I am editing with that exact footage and I don’t know what you mean. I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary.

Can you post a clip for us to watch?

oops – double-checked our footage…hmmmm…sorry guys – seems that all of our frames are intact. We did these tests after a LONG day in post. A word of warning – if you stare at the screen too long, you MAY lose frames!
