White Outline
Hi,
**I’m pretty new to AE
I am using after effects to make a video I shot on a green screen, transparent. I learned how to do this watching tutorials. I did a few videos that came out good…. then… on other videos I started getting this white “outline/edge” around my subject ( a girl talking). I’m using screen gain, clip white, clip black, pre-blur, & screen shrink. All my videos were shot under the same circumstances, nothing was moved… same location, same lighting, etc. The videos seem to be ok on after affects (no rough edges, or outlines or anything like that)
After I made the background transparent I exported it as an .FLV file… and this is where my problems begin. When I bring that .FLV file into flash it shows that white outline I’m talking about… but if I exported as an .mov file the outline is NOT there…
I even paid some guy come teach me how to do it right… but he said I was doing everything right…
Then, he edited the video on his computer exported the video as an .FLV and gave me the file in flash drive… when I brought that file he gave me into flash there was no outline….
We both did to the video the same thing… when he exported it as FLV with his computer the video came out good, when I exported the video as FLV with MY computer I get a white outline/edge…Please HELP!!!!!

Wrong forum maybe? This sounds like a more general AE question…

Definitely the wrong forum. You want the main After Effects forum in the future.
It sounds like you want to take a look at how you export your alpha channel as white fringing sounds like a classic premult problem.
