  White House Video & DVD/BD

  The White House provides the public hi quality video (mp4) of events on its website. I’d like to optimally convert the video to DVD and optionally BD for display on a HDTV by way of DVD Architect 5b.

  Vegas 9c project media shows the Video is 1280 x 720 x 32, 30.000fps, progressive scan,AVC with Stereo 48K, AAC.

  I’m confused regarding project and rendering settings with the eventual DVDA target.

  I assume the proj settings “HDV 720-30p (1280×720, 29.970 fps)” is the closest match to the media. The “30.000 fps” vs “29.970” fps bothers me.

  For rendering, I assume a custom version of the Main Concepts MPEG-2 default “DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream” Modified with “Field Order” set to “None”

  For rendering BD I have no ideas, perhaps its not applicable.

  Sound is probably straight forward, DD AC3 pro.

  Thoughts anyone?
