I’m having trouble with Squeeze 4.3 on a Mac G5, dual core. I have video clips in a .dv or .mov format with a nice fade up/down from black. These files are given to me by our editors and I then compress them into various formats depending on our client’s needs. Occassionally, the compressed .wmv file doesn’t fade to black but to white! I’ve tried modifying the compression settings and even adding a filter to fade to black but to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations as to what I might be doing wrong?

    TIA –

    Joe

Add some black frames again after fade out. It happened to me sometimes on my export (FCP) when the Out point was to tight on the fade.

And add a slug to the timeline, don’t just slide the timeline marker down.
